Fire Tetrahedron

Fire basically requires three elements to ignite: heat, fuel, and an oxidizing agent like oxygen. By removing any of these elements, fires can be prevented or extinguished. As shown, the fire tetrahedron represents the fourth component in a chemical chain reaction. Once a fire starts, the resulting exothermic chain reaction maintains the fire and allows it to continue burning unless at least one source of ignition is blocked.

Our aerosol fire suppression systems quickly extinguish flames by immobilizing and removing C, H and CH from the flame chain reaction.

Simple Science, Superior Technology

Our fire suppression systems use advanced aerosol technology to extinguish fires quickly and effectively. The system is loaded with Aerosol Generating Components (AGC), a proprietary blend of chemicals.

An ignition device (electrical, thermal, or mechanical) is used to initiate the combustion process to produce an aerosol, which contains specific particles that separate oxygen from the fuel. Aerosol radicals protect and remove C, H, and CH from flame chain reactions without depleting oxygen and rapidly extinguishing the flame.

Due to the tiny size of the particles (5–10 microns), they remain suspended for 30 to 40 minutes, inhibiting possible re-ignition.
